Quick Information for Attending a FCC Match Handicap Style (At Nippert Stadium)

One thing someone should know about me is that I am a massive soccer fan. I grew up playing competitive soccer, I met my lifelong best friend playing soccer, and the only thing that stopped me from playing the sport was paralysis. Every season since FCC began in 2016, I have attended as many FCC games as possible without breaking the bank ($20 is a lot for a college student!). They have a great team, they win games unlike many Cincinnati teams, and they have a wildly energetic atmosphere.  If you are handicap as well and are planning to attend a FCC match, then this post is perfect for you!

It is always confusing trying the find proper handicap parking, especially if you need a wheelchair rap. Thankfully, Nippert Stadium has the best handicap parking set up for us. When you search for parking, make sure you’re looking for Corry Avenue. On Corry Avenue, there is a parking garage, CCM Garage, that is located right next to Nippert Stadium. Just drive past a couple traffic cops, let them know you need handicap parking, and then find your spot. The parking is free, and it lets you out right next to the stadium entrance.

Nippert Stadium is ADA accessible but where is a perfect seating for a soccer game? Well, this is different for everybody. I prefer close seats to the field, so I was a little bummed when I found out the only handicap seating is on the top of the main level. The good thing is that there is still a variety of seating on that level. You can choose to sit in the middle or sides closer to either goal.

My tips for choosing a seat:

1.) Chose a section on the western sideline. Most games are during the evening, if you sit on the Western side, you will avoid the sun in your eyes!

2.) Certain sections closer to the goals are not covered by the top level of seating. If there is a chance of rain, you may want to purchase seats under the overhang.

3.) Call 513-977-KICK to purchase tickets. They can answer all your questions!

Finally, wear your FCC gear! If you don’t have any FCC merchandise, then wear white, orange, or blue! Trust me. Everyone is covered in it and you don’t want to miss out!

I’m thinking about going to a Cincinnati Bearcats football game when the pandemic is over. Thanks for the info. Maybe I’ll see you there.
